The town is still being constructed. The first image in this post shows the first shortcut the racers can encounter if they wish to choose that route. The other images just show the build up of housing and street layout.

Asset Design - Shops
This shop is now open for business. The is the basic design for the shop. The design has yet to have a shop name and a change in colour to vary the designs of the shops.
Asset Design - Shops
This is a normal shop design. I've created this design so that i can have various styles of shops on the town center.

More Roads and Housing
Continuing on with laying down the road and placing the houses along side the roads. Had to re-scale the size of some of the road pieces to make them smaller in length so the meshes weren't overlaying too much. The road is wide enough for two cars to race along side each as well as a bit more.

Roads, where we're going......we'll need roads!!!
I've broken my road up into track pieces and these are the track pieces. Each piece has a pavement and there is enough room for two car the race along side each other. The road in the town section of the race track in quite straight forward as there are no major bends. It's all very much square.

Asset Design - Water Tower
I've mad some adjustments to my mobile water tower. I wasn't happy with my first attempt of making the model. I've the tower taller and extended the water pipe. I've also made the cart a bit shorter. I remodeled the wheels so now they have spokes.
Asset Design - Station assets
Here are a few items i've modeled for the railway station. I've created a trolley for moving crates and large parcels around along with three parcels. These models will be placed on the platform of the station.

Asset Design - Housing
Here is another house model. This house or pub (maybe?) model will be used at the corner of some streets in the town section of the race track. When I was first modelling the corner house I was having problems with trying to get the angles right of the front of the house. I wasn't happy with the first attempt so i used it as a template to use as a guide for placing edge loops. The images you can see are of the second attempt of modelling the corner house.
The first image shows the corner building placed in between two houses. This is to show how the corner house would be used. The second image is of the model on its own.
Asset Design - Housing
Here is a model of the farmer's house. I've used the house template which I've been using to produce my houses. The farmer's house has a added extension to the side of the house. The house will be located towards the end of the dirt track.
Asset Design - Housing
Here is another version of a house to go into the race track. the added feature that is different to the original in the window box on the front of the house. I've added this feature so there is a variation in the housing as the racers drive pass.
Asset Design - Rock fences
Here are two models of the stone walls that will be placed in the fields to guide the racers and to restrict the racers from going to the edges of the map. The first image shows the stone walls with a gate. the gate will only be big enough for one racer at a time but there will be jumps placed on the walls so other racers can use them to get over the wall. the second image is just a section of stone wall to be placed on the track.
UDK Terrain
here's the layout of my countryside section of my race track. I have used the textures from udk as a guide to start with and will replace them in the final product.
