Asset Design - House modelled
Here is a house i modeled for the race track. This has been modeled on my design of a house for the track. I modeled the house in sections working my way up. Might make a few small design changes so that not all the houses look the same on every street.
Asset Design - Railway Station
here is a model of the railway station i'll be using in the race track. At the back of the platform there are two planes. i will place a fence texture on the planes so that i can save on polys. On the ends of the platform i have model a small fence to stop the drivers going onto the station.
Asset Design - Railway Shed
Here is an image of the railway shed to feature in the race track. The shed will be surrounded by a brick wall and two railway trucks in front of the shed. I did a quick search to find a railway shed i liked and came across the image of a railway shed above (bottom image).

Modelling Assets - Truck
here is a first attempt at modelling one of the railway trucks. the model isn't quite to scale for use in UDK. Need to remodel to correct a few other small details for example, the truck's chain hook and door handle.
More Truck concepts
Here are some railway truck concepts for the race track. The top half of the concept are trucks for delivering goods and more industrial items and the bottom half of the concept is a design for a passenger coach.

this is a water tower concept for the race track. The water towers are mobile ones which have been placed in the streets for the race. the water tower sits on top of a wooden cart. the other water tower is a early concept of a water tower found at the railway station. I don't thing the design quite fits the time period.

New objectives:
Now that my design of the race track is complete, i need to finish blocking out the level. As well as this, i need to design the different assets for the race track and then create them.
UDK blockout
With my track design finished i've started to block the level out in UDK to try and work out the scale of the race track. This is the height of objects such as houses and the width of the streets.
these images show the blockout of the town section of the race track.
New iOS track design
I made some changes from the design iOS design. Ive had to change the theme of the track by removing the factory part of the track as replaced it with more streets. The start and finish is still the same as well as other street layouts.
Track Breakdown
This image shows the layout of the countryside route on the race track. This image shows the route the racers will go as well as the different obstacles along the way.
